filósofo, historiador, profesor de retórica, traductor, es considerado
the most talented and versatile of the young men belonged to
Coluccio Salutati’s circle in the years around 1400. […] And,
one of the first of Petrarch’s followers to possess a real
knowledge of Greek, he helped to turn the humanist movement
toward that interest in Hellenism which was to have such

texto más importante de la Antigüedad sobre la manera de traducir: Ad
Pammachium de optimo genere interpretandi, ca. 395, de san Jerónimo, “el
primer documento, el primer conjunto de enseñanzas escrito en el mundo
